Thriving Healing Evolving Rural Women
It is our desire, through THE Rural Woman to empower other rural women to thrive, heal, evolve and bloom where they are planted and to create a nurturing, long term supportive framework.
We have taken up the mantle through this site and the work we do, to provide motivational, inspirational and educational content, articles, stories, resources, coaching and connection specifically for rural women who want to make a difference in their communities and the world.
We love working with rural women who want to be the best versions of themselves.
We are unearthing rural women and empowering their BLOOM!!!
We are providing a unique launch pad for the true voices of rural women to be heard and are inspiring rural women to live whole. We are inspiring a rural revolution to challenge old stereotypes, to ruffle the feathers of the ‘system’ that keeps personal and professional separate, messing up the status quo and reaching for new heights.

Meet Our TEAM
Rebel Black (Human Agronomist & CEO)
I live the philosophy of ‘rural’ – that is to say I exist in a mindset of freedom, opportunity, abundance and contribution.
I am a passionate advocate for rural women and their communities and believe fundamentally that if we are to have thriving, healthy, entrepreneurial rural places – we need to invest in people…not in ‘programs’ or ‘community’.
I live on the edge of content and never satisfied, which can be a double edged sword, but means that my rather expansive veggie patch gets tended occasionally and my community benefits from my energy and input.
This life is a rich tapestry of experiences, both lived and imagined, insights and wisdom.
My paternal grandmother said, when I was born, that I had been here before. I believe her. So on this go round I plan to learn what I am here to learn and contribute in my whole truth.
There is nothing so exhilarating as the opportunity to play…to have fun with life and see what happens!
I am the merchant of ‘bloom’, seeking out new ways to grow and develop my capabilities and those of rural women. I am all about sharing the understanding that you can bloom exactly where you are, by empowering you to do it. Geography is not an inhibitor. I choose to live the philosophy of ‘rural, having grown up in the city of Sydney. I believe my earthiness and love of wide open spaces keeps me grounded and connects me to my rural home.
I thrive on change and observing the evolution of individuals and groups within our dynamic environment. I am a change agent. I am also a healer, working with rural women in the delivery of the Enlivened Life Program. I want others to experience ‘light-bulb moments’ and personal breakthroughs to become the best version of themselves.
I am a strategist who always has a plan, knowing where I am going and what I need to do to get there. I provide direction. I live with the belief that I have been put on this earth to evolve and heal, both my soul and the souls of others. My charter is to focus on learning and developing new skills to allow me to serve ‘my community’ in this way.
Phoebe Maroulis (Full Bloom Coach & Consultant)
The road to this point has had freeways and smooth bits with a few washouts and corrugations along the way, but when I look back I realise my destination has never changed, that I have always known that my unique purpose is to nurture nourishing contribution to ones community.
There is a unique magic in rural communities that comes to light when the right ingredients are added by the right people, in the right way, at the right time; I call this social alchemy.
My belief is that a rich life is a blend of interests and activities, not a juggling act and that ones choices in life should be driven by passion and a sense of purpose beyond yourself, fuelled by optimism and a vision of hope for the future.
For me life is very much a work in progress making everyday very different to the one before, and that is just the way I like it.
Emma Priestly (Enlivened Life, Full Bloom Coach & Consultant)
I grew up a rural woman, with two older brothers in Tamworth NSW, spending my younger years travelling around with my family on the polocrosse scene.
Today I am happily married to my soul mate Matt, and we have three beautiful sons. We have recently made the sea change to Port Macquarie and it has been amazing.
I have found during my journey that humanity has a deep inner need to find depth, purpose, meaning and spiritual connection in their lives and my soul mission is to help women discover theirs.
I am an energy and emotional healer and I teach people how to transmute hurt and grief to activate their Soul Purpose and bring true meaning to their lives.
It takes an awakening to allow us to truly tap into the magic that is within us.
I have created programs for those who are ready to turn their pain into purpose and make this world a better place.
I have made it my mission to teach women how to love themselves unconditionally, for when they achieve that, the world is their oyster.
I look forward to working with you in the future and helping you awaken unimaginable possibilities for yourself and your families.
I place my time, skills and effort into activities I believe aim to promote self awareness, acceptance of others and positive self sustainable outcomes. We cannot separate ourselves from others or our environment. A deep level of self awareness allows us to accept ourselves and others. Together we can then achieve whatever we turn our collective energy and passion towards. As a nation, Australians need to work and live collaboratively understanding that cultural and geographic diversity is essential for our future sustainability.
With a background as a physiotherapist and a passion for learning about and understanding people, I am trained in the use of various psychological, social, emotional and leadership assessment tools including FEBI, SQ21, MBTI, Emotional Intelligence MMC and have qualifications including Leadership Coaching, Intuitive Coaching and Pshyc K.
Dianna Jacobsen (Financial Advisor, Money Mindset Master, Full Bloom Coach & Consultant)
I come from a background of wheat/sheep farming in the southern Riverina and now live with my husband and two sons on our property in beautiful North-East Victoria.
After finishing school, I commenced accounting in, and later became a partner in, a small public accounting practice. In 2005 I left mainstream tax and accounting to meet the growing, unmet need for pro-active, holistic business advice and strategic planning in the face of the overwhelming compliance deadlines and demands that small business owners are constantly challenged by.
I enjoy working with individuals, families and businesses, in all aspects of lifestyle planning. This includes business development, financial planning, accounting and taxation, administration, compliance, time management, life balance, goal-setting, and personal empowerment, as well as business dissolution. I offer a personalised, customised approach to each situation, often working in conjunction with the client’s other business advisers to develop a streamlined, integrated, and workable strategy.
I am a soul adventurer and am passionate about connecting women to places and journeys as yet unknown – both in their inner and outer world!
Having adventured and led adventures the world over, I understand the true power travel, connection and nature has to reconnect us to ourselves. As a trained healer and intuitive guide, I am ready to help rural women release their soul’s true expression.
I am a coachh and healer and have the ability to ask the right question at the right time. I will challenge you and hold you to account at the same time as being generous with my love and nurturing embrace.
I believe in the magic of story and it’s ability to change the world. As a career journalist I have a passion for helping women discover and share their authentic voice and story in powerful and creative ways.
As the founder of Inspired magazine, I brings fresh eyes to the ability of the media to excite people with possibility and inspire them with awe.
I am a guide, not a guru and am a humble and gentle soul who wants the best for everyone she connects with.

A self-recovered stress-aholic, anxious and depressive thinker, I began my journey as a wellness coach after a moment of epiphany in a remote bush location which powerfully changed my life. Over time I have my thinking and feeling and was able to recover from a range of niggling illnesses and severe fatigue issues.
I now specialise in helping others who struggle with frantic thinking, stress, anxiety and depression. I also provide workplace wellness & culture development programs.
Totally committed to promoting self-supportive thinking, feeling and action I believe everyone has the right and the ability to create and live a meaningful, healthy and abundant lives. Fundamental to my philosophy are the three tenets to Live Consciously, Finding Meaning in the Now and to Practice Self-Care. Where the idea of making big changes can feel intimidating and unachievable I prefer to focus on implementing ‘Tiny Tweaks’, small and achievable changes that make a big difference to how my clients think, feel and act.
I hold national and international certification as a Life Coach and NLP Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Time Line Therapist® and Hypnotherapist. Most recently I have become a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader. I grew up on the outskirts of the Sydney CBD and spent the majority of my working life in the legal world in some way, shape or form.
I have travelled overseas, backpacking around Europe, living and working in both the UK and Canada.
Six years ago my partner and I came to “The Ridge” to visit friends and fell in love with the location, lifestyle and landscape of the area. We moved here permanently in October 2015 and have never looked back……..I guess you could say I’m a city girl with country heart.
I provide administrative, website & technical assistance and solutions.
